They ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations while providing quality service to customers. Responsibilities Service HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-split systems, ventilation units, indoor air quality (IAQ) products, humidifiers, and electronic filtration systems Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, inspecting, and tuning systems Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems Repair or replace defective components, including compressors, motors, thermostats, and related parts Test system performance and ensure proper operation Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes Maintain accurate service records and documentation Provide excellent customer service and explain system issues and repair recommendations to clients Experience High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as an HVAC technician or similar role Knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and troubleshooting techniques Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals Strong problem-solving and communication skills Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments Valid driver's license MECH IV License preferred Preferred Certifications EPA Section 608 Certification (for handling refrigerants) HVAC Mech 4 ( Preffered ) Working Conditions Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions May involve working at heights or in confined spaces May require on-call, evening, or weekend shifts depending on employer needs
Pay:
$18.00 - $40.00 per hour
