HVAC Service Technician

Duties Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct field service visits to client sites for routine inspections or urgent repairs of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to test electrical components and perform mechanical repairs. Diagnose complex system problems involving ammonia refrigeration or HVAC design specifications; recommend appropriate corrective actions. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed; ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to plumbing, appliance repair, or general mechanical upkeep as needed. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of construction principles related to HVAC installation and property maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design concepts, and technical troubleshooting methods. Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration units, boilers, and appliance repair. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; proficiency in welding and equipment repair is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle if required. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience in plumbing or property maintenance tasks. $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
