HVAC Maintenance / Plumber Technician (Full-Time) (First Shift)

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of routine servicing and repair operations to maintain buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition. Responds to service calls promptly and courteously. Knowledgeable in the use of power and hand tools and properly cares for facility-owned tools. Cooperates with supervisors, department heads, and works well with other staff. Consults with director regarding assignments. Takes initiative to notice and correct problems to physical plant without a work order or without being told by the director. Completes all assigned maintenance work orders on utility components promptly and accurately. Accurately read gauges, meters, etc. with minimal supervision Completes assigned inspections and keeps directors informed of needs and/or problems. Submit all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Available one week a month for On-Call rotation or as needed. Participate in performance improvement and information management activities. Makes minor repairs of mechanical and electrical nature on all equipment as assigned by

Director Skill/Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (Required). 3+ years of HVAC & Plumbing experience in a commercial and residential setting (Required).
