Job Description

Position Summary A heating and cooling company in Loveland is urgently hiring an experienced HVAC Technician. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background in HVAC systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Primary Responsibilities Service our customers by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential HVAC systems.
Service, repair, maintenance and/or recommend replacement of equipment, including but not limited to: Gas furnaces Air conditioners Heat pumps Electric furnaces Packaged terminal units Ductless split systems Humidification and dehumidification equipment Electronic air cleaners and air purification systems Residential control systems, including Evolution and zoning systems Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve system issues to ensure proper equipment operation. Test all systems after service or repair to confirm proper functionality. Perform thorough system inspections to identify and prevent future issues. Clearly explain all services and repairs performed to customers. Assess system condition and educate customers on repair versus replacement options using a detailed cost-benefit analysis. Accurately document service activity, including: Age and type of each system component on invoices. Services completed. Discussions with customers regarding current and future equipment or service needs. Invoices and service-related costs. Debrief each service call with dispatch upon completion. Submit all parts receipts, packing slips, contracts, and invoices daily. Wear floor savers while working in customer homes. Inspect work areas for cleanliness upon job completion. Maintain the company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization inside and out. Maintain a professional image at all times by: Wearing only company-approved Varsity Zone apparel. Following all safety policies and procedures. Adhering to Varsity Zone standards of performance and code of ethics. Maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with customers and coworkers. Respecting customer property at all times. Participate in all company-sponsored training classes. Assist in mentoring and training maintenance technicians as appropriate. Professional Conduct & Training Maintain a professional image and leadership standard by:

  • Maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with customers and employees.

  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of local business and employment laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a strong team culture through recruitment, motivation, and training.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Education & Certification Requirements
  • EPA Certification.
  • Applicable trade licensure.

  • Combination of general office and field assessment environments.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, climbing, twisting, and reaching.
  • Driving in heavy traffic for short and long distances in varying weather conditions.
  • Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs.
Ability to work in confined spaces, including attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Ability to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Natural or corrected vision sufficient for close, distance, and peripheral vision with normal depth perception. Work assignments may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation to a known disability.
