TOUR OF DUTY
Night shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am (Hours may Change Due to Operional Needs of Management) This position is loced in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Superintendent, Capitol Building; Assistant Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Capitol Building and Capitol Visitor Center Operions and Maintenance Division; Maintenance Branch; Maintenance Section, Day, Evening and Night Maintenance Units. The incumbent exercises technical and administrive supervision over workers performing air conditioning (A/C) mechanical work. The incumbent is a working assistant to the supervisor with the following duties and responsibilities: Assists with providing administrive and technical direction to subordine employees which includes developing performance standards; providing for employee skills enrichment through job reled coaching, mentoring, and training; and resolving complaints and grievances as deleged. Assists with planning the work assignments based on established deadlines, priorities, and work sequences. Prepares estimes of merial costs for proposed or anticiped mechanical system alterions and new mechanical system installions. Plans and lays out work assignments. Checks completed assignments for proper operion and preventive maintenance on a variety of commercial and industrial systems. Manages the operion of pneumic and Direct Digital Control systems to control air-handling units to maintain air temperure, relive humidity, duct and building stic pressure, and outside air economizer controls. Examines complex air conditioning systems in order to troubleshoot, loce, and repair faulty equipment such as compressors, reciprocing, centrifugal, or rotary pump, and refrigerant controls. Plans, lays out, directs, and checks the work of insulors and pipe coverers who are engaged in the installion, maintenance, and removal of insulion merials.
