Magnolia Plumbing, Inc. is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installation Technician to join our HVAC Install Department. We are looking for motivated professionals with strong technical skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in residential environments throughout the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will have experience installing and replacing residential HVAC systems while maintaining high-quality workmanship and delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities Install and replace residential HVAC systems, including air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, boilers, and ductless mini-split systems. Perform equipment start-ups, testing, and commissioning to ensure proper operation. Install ductwork, refrigerant piping, condensate drains, and related HVAC components. Read and interpret installation plans, specifications, and manufacturer instructions. Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards. Communicate professionally with homeowners, supervisors, and team members. Deliver high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. Maintain proper truck stock, tools, and inventory levels. Keep company vehicles clean and follow maintenance schedules. Follow all safety procedures and company policies on job sites. Identify and communicate any installation challenges or opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
3-10 years of residential HVAC installation experience. EPA/CFC Certification required. Journeyman HVAC License preferred; licensing requirements based on local regulations. Experience installing gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, air handlers, boilers, and ductless mini-split systems. Knowledge of refrigeration principles, airflow, duct design, and system commissioning. Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation specifications. Experience with basic controls, thermostats, and low-voltage wiring. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and dependable attendance. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely lift equipment and materials and work in attics, crawl spaces, and other residential environments. Strong communication skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.
