Job Description

Job description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to ensure our facility remains in excellent condition and fully functional. This role involves a wide range of maintenance duties, including painting, HVAC installation/repair, landscaping, as well as electrical and plumbing repairs. The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter who can work independently while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Our goal is to keep all buildings and common areas well-maintained, safe, and operating at their best. Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and repair mechanical systems, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including the replacement of lighting components, sockets, and the servicing of circuit breaker panels.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and pressure irregularities, implementing effective repair solutions.
  • Support the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee the upkeep and repair of heating and plumbing systems to maintain consistent functionality across all facilities.
  • Inspect fire protection and alarm systems, coordinating timely maintenance and repairs to ensure reliability and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Execute general maintenance tasks such as lock repairs, window replacements, and other manual repair activities as required.
  • Manage pest control procedures, including the safe application of insecticides in accordance with established standards.
  • Perform routine facility upkeep, including landscaping, painting, carpentry, and other general maintenance duties as assigned.
  • Complete all punch list and make-ready tasks to prepare apartments for new occupancy in a timely and professional manner.
  • Replace or repair flooring, blinds, hardware, and other unit components as needed.
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs including painting, drywall patching, caulking, door and lock repairs, and minor carpentry work.
Skills Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar facilities maintenance role. Solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and hydraulic systems. Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures, safety practices, and repair methods. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks as required; willingness to work overtime when necessary. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications in
HVAC, EPA
Universal, Building Maintenance Technology, or a related field preferred. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) designation is highly desirable.
