This role is critical to ensure that HVAC systems across our portfolio remain operational, and the residents receive timely and professional service. This position requires travel between multiple properties within the state of Florida. Mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with the company's mileage reimbursement policy. Duties Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment in various property types. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan. Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and specialized diagnostic equipment. Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration repairs when necessary. Repair appliances and mechanical components involved in HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems using schematics and electrical testing tools. Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference. Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure seamless operation of HVAC-related infrastructure. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance. Proven service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems including refrigeration and air conditioning units. Ability to read complex schematics and design plans for accurate troubleshooting and system setup. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications such as ammonia refrigeration or boiler connections. Familiarity with electrical testing tools like ohmmeters for diagnosing system faults. Experience with welding techniques for repairing or fabricating HVAC components when needed. Understanding of property maintenance procedures involving HVAC equipment upkeep. Mechanical aptitude combined with field service expertise to handle diverse repair scenarios efficiently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation between job sites. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high safety standards in all tasks performed.
