An Air Conditioning Installer is a skilled technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems to ensure comfort, safety, and efficient operation. Driver's license is a MUST.
Key Responsibilities Installation:
Install residential and commercial AC systems (split systems, ductless, central air) according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
Maintenance:
Perform routine servicing to keep systems running efficiently and extend equipment life.
Repairs:
Diagnose and fix faults in AC units, including refrigerant leaks, compressor issues, and electrical faults.
Upgrades:
Recommend and implement upgrades or replacements for outdated or faulty systems.
Testing:
Verify that installed systems operate correctly and meet performance standards.
Customer Service:
Provide estimates, explain work performed, and maintain client satisfaction.
Compliance:
Follow local, state, and national safety standards; maintain proper documentation of all work.
Inventory & Tools:
Order and maintain necessary parts, tools, and equipment.
Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills:
Understanding of HVAC systems, refrigeration, and electrical components.
Tools & Equipment:
Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear.
Soft Skills:
Problem-solving, communication, and customer service abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs, work in varied weather conditions, and operate on job sites. Must have a valid driver's license.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training or apprenticeship preferred . Typical Experience Minimum 12 months of hands-on HVAC/AC installation experience. Experience with commercial installations. Work Environment May work outdoors in hot or humid conditions.
