In this energetic role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will drive success in both residential and commercial settings. Duties Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to ensure efficient operation. Install new HVAC equipment following HVAC design specifications and property requirements. Troubleshoot mechanical issues using tools like ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic devices. Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed, including ammonia refrigeration systems and appliance repairs. Interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately service complex systems. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders promptly, and communicate effectively with clients about system status and recommendations. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems. Hands-on experience with construction projects involving HVAC installation or property maintenance is highly desirable. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques. Familiarity with plumbing systems, refrigeration processes—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation. Mechanical knowledge of equipment repair, welding skills, and the ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving drivers preferred. Prior field service experience working on commercial or industrial HVAC systems is a plus; certification in HVAC/R or related fields is advantageous.
