HVAC Service Technician

Experienced HVAC Service Technician Location:

Gainesville, FL /

Alachua County Area Pay:

$20-$30 per hour base, based on experience, plus commission

Full-time, day shift A well-established local HVAC company is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, skilled technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, troubleshooting, customer service, and representing the company professionally in the field.

The ideal candidate will have prior HVAC service experience and may come from a residential, light commercial, VRF, or mixed service background . Candidates do not need to have experience in every area, but should be comfortable diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair HVAC systems Troubleshoot heating, cooling, airflow, electrical, refrigerant, and mechanical issues Perform routine preventative maintenance and system inspections Communicate clearly and professionally with customers Provide honest recommendations and quality service Complete service documentation accurately and in a timely manner Maintain tools, equipment, company vehicle, and work areas in a clean and professional manner Follow safety procedures and company standards Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and strong customer service

Experience Desired:

3+ years of HVAC service experience preferred Residential HVAC service experience strongly preferred Light commercial HVAC experience is a plus VRF experience is a plus Strong troubleshooting ability Ability to work independently in the field Comfortable interacting with customers in a professional manner

Requirements:

Have own personal hand tools and gauges or ability to get them Will submit to criminal background Must pass 3-year Motor vehicle report to drive company vehicle Drug-free workplace Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded Professional appearance and communication skills Ability to pass any required pre-employment screening
