Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems. Your expertise will help ensure optimal performance of heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment across various property types. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your mechanical skills while delivering top-tier service to our valued customers. Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately install or service equipment. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems to ensure efficient operation. Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; perform electrical testing as needed. Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems and assist with appliance repairs or property maintenance tasks. Repair ammonia refrigeration systems and handle refrigerant recharging in compliance with safety standards. Operate welding equipment when necessary for repairs or system modifications; maintain detailed service reports. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or field service settings. Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R systems; familiarity with schematics and HVAC design principles. Knowledge of plumbing, refrigeration, boiler operation, and appliance repair techniques. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; proficient in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Experience with property maintenance tasks including air conditioning system servicing and general equipment repair. Valid driver's license suitable for driver requirements; comfortable operating various vehicles safely. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R industry standards; welding skills are a plus. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently in the field.
