Job Description
Position Summary We're seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Chiller & Boiler Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled technician who enjoys diagnosing complex mechanical systems, solving challenging problems, and working on some of South Florida's most sophisticated HVAC equipment. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and mechanical systems Service and repair chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, RTUs, DOAS units, fan coils, and open/closed loop hydronic systems Perform preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential equipment failures Troubleshoot electrical, controls, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical issues Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals Utilize diagnostic equipment and testing instruments to identify system deficiencies Perform equipment startups, repairs, modifications, and operational testing Complete service reports, maintenance documentation, and recommendations accurately and professionally Communicate effectively with customers, property managers, vendors, and internal team members Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, safety standards, and company procedures Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Alfresco Air with integrity and professionalism Qualifications Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience Extensive experience working with chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and hydronic systems Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills Experience with commercial HVAC controls and building automation systems preferred Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings EPA Universal 608 Certification required Boiler manufacturer certifications (Lochinvar, CAMUS, RBI, HTP, Cleaver-Brooks, etc.) are a plus Experience with welding, plumbing, and equipment modifications is a plus English fluency required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work safely in mechanical rooms, rooftops, cooling tower environments, and occupied commercial buildings What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company vehicle (based on position and qualifications) Career advancement opportunities Ongoing technical and manufacturer training Work on industry-leading commercial HVAC projects Supportive team environment with a commitment to safety and excellence Opportunity to grow with one of South Florida's premier high-rise mechanical contractors
