Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advanced HVAC Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the installation of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in both residential and commercial environments . As a senior member of the installation team, you will bridge the gap between engineering designs and physical execution. You must possess the advanced technical ability to interpret blueprints, independently manage job site materials, and ensure all installations meet top-tier quality, safety, and local building code standards.
Duties System Installation:
Lead and execute the complete installation of residential and commercial HVAC systems, including split systems, packaged units, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, VRF systems, and commercial rooftop units (RTUs).
Blueprint & Schematic Interpretation:
Read, analyze, and precisely execute layouts from mechanical blueprints, architectural drawings, structural plans, and electrical schematics.
Material & Job Management:
Review project plans prior to construction to create accurate material take-offs and detailed material lists. Coordinate with the parts department or vendors to ensure all necessary equipment, ductwork, and supplies are on-site.
Ductwork & Piping:
Layout, fabricate, and install complex ductwork transitions, refrigerant lines, and condensate systems according to specifications.
System Commissioning:
Perform start-up, testing, and balancing of newly installed systems. Check airflow, adjust charge, and program advanced thermostats or building automation controls.
Leadership & Mentorship:
Guide, train, and supervise apprentice technicians on job sites, ensuring proper installation techniques and safety protocols are followed.
Requirements Experience:
Minimum 5+ years experience HVAC installation, with a solid understanding of schematics and HVAC design principles in both residential and commercial applications.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC principles, airflow dynamics, refrigeration cycles, and electrical systems.
Blueprint Literacy:
Ability to read technical blueprints and schematics accurately for precise installation and troubleshooting.
Certifications:
EPA 608 Certification - Universal, Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands:
ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights or in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks safely in various weather conditions.
