- Part-time, Full-time We're looking for an HVAC Instructor for our HVAC Technician program!
Merryfield Academy is a nationally accredited school in Oakland Park (near Ft. Lauderdale) that offers career training programs within the School of Technical Trades and the School of Professional Pet Grooming. The ideal candidate has a passion for educating, mentoring, and coaching future HVAC professionals! The primary responsibility is to manage and lead their students to graduation through a positive and exciting classroom environment. Duties & Responsibilities Oversee the successful launch of the HVAC Technician program Teach day and/or evening classes Perform an active lesson and lecture, encourage student learning, participation, and engagement Grade and review assignments, quizzes, & exams Perform effective classroom management and ensure student compliance with school rules and regulations Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures Serve as student success coach for online portion of program Retention rates and student satisfaction Complete other assigned duties, as needed Minimum Qualifications Minimum of five year(s) experience and/or training that includes classroom experience combined with supervisory experience Highly organized and professional Strong customer service skills and administrative skills Ability to ensure compliance with all governmental regulations Bilingual mandatory as classes will be taught in English and Spanish (assisted) Must have a minimum of 5 years field experience Work Schedule (Flexible as an additional faculty will be hired to cover as well) Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (Days) and/or Monday
