Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical services. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of HVAC systems and related equipment across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety for our clients. Responsibilities Diagnose issues with HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing, and related mechanical equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances, and property mechanical systems. Read and interpret schematics and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot and repair complex systems. Conduct field service operations including equipment repair, welding, component replacement, and system upgrades to ensure reliable operation. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites. Collaborate with property managers or clients to assess system needs and recommend appropriate solutions for HVAC/R upgrades or maintenance plans. Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems or property maintenance as needed. Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to evaluate electrical components within HVAC systems. Support ongoing training in HVAC/R technology advancements including refrigeration techniques involving ammonia systems. Experience Proven experience as a service technician working with HVAC systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing or property maintenance. Familiarity with construction processes and ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately. Mechanical knowledge covering boilers, appliances repair, equipment repair, welding techniques, and general maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience in field service environments with a focus on air conditioning units and mechanical system troubleshooting. Strong understanding of HVAC/R standards and safety regulations applicable to commercial or residential settings. Previous mechanic experience is highly valued along with the ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
