In this role, you will deliver comprehensive training on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, equipping students with practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for success in the industry. Your expertise will help foster a hands-on learning environment that emphasizes safety, technical proficiency, and industry standards. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape future professionals while staying current with evolving HVAC technologies and practices. Duties Develop and deliver engaging curriculum covering HVAC/R systems, electrical wiring, mechanical components, and system troubleshooting. Conduct classroom instruction combined with practical lab sessions to enhance hands-on skills. Teach students about programmable logic controllers (PLCs), blackboard control systems, and other automation technologies used in modern HVAC applications. Ensure compliance with safety standards such as OSHA regulations through safety demonstrations and supervision during lab activities. Incorporate industry best practices into lesson plans, including automotive diagnostics, plumbing, welding, electrical work, and maintenance procedures relevant to HVAC. Assess student performance through tests, projects, and practical evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support learning progress. Collaborate with industry partners to update curriculum content reflecting current manufacturing, construction, aircraft maintenance, and other related sectors. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in HVAC/R systems and electrical experience. Proficiency in teaching adult learners within classroom or workshop settings with clear communication skills. Experience working with automation systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and Blackboard control platforms. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance environments. Ability to develop comprehensive curriculum tailored for diverse learners interested in HVAC, automotive repair, plumbing, welding, or aircraft maintenance. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair techniques relevant to HVAC system troubleshooting. Demonstrated classroom experience with a focus on technical education in fields like electrical work or mechanical systems.
