In this energetic role, you will be the key driver behind installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems that keep environments comfortable and efficient. Your expertise will ensure that residential, commercial, and industrial clients receive top-tier service, leveraging your mechanical knowledge and field service experience. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with cutting-edge equipment while making a tangible difference in people's daily lives. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design plans Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment to ensure optimal performance Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately execute installations and repairs Perform plumbing connections and electrical wiring necessary for HVAC system operation, ensuring compliance with safety standards Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose issues and repair mechanical components effectively Maintain detailed service records, including inspection reports, repair logs, and system performance data Collaborate with property maintenance teams and service technicians to coordinate installation schedules and troubleshoot complex issues Requirements Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration techniques including ammonia refrigeration systems Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding, boiler maintenance, and appliance repair is highly desirable Ability to read technical diagrams and electrical schematics accurately; proficiency with tools such as ohmmeters is essential Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems along with field service expertise in property maintenance or appliance repair Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for safe transportation between job sites Knowledge of safety protocols related to ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R standards is a plus Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively on-site This role is paid in accordance with industry standards for skilled technicians.
