We are currently hiring rough HVAC installers and are looking for mechanically inclined individuals to join our team. We are happy to provide full training, so no prior experience in the field is required. Please note that pay is based on experience and there is a 90-day probationary period. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Rough Installer specializing in HVAC systems to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and preparing HVAC equipment and ductwork on construction sites or existing properties. Your expertise will ensure that heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems are properly set up according to specifications, schematics, and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and field service experience to deliver high-quality installations that meet client expectations. Responsibilities Read and interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately install ductwork, piping, and equipment. Assemble, install, and secure HVAC components such as air handlers, condensers, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical systems. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and measuring devices like ohmmeters to ensure precise installation and repairs. Perform plumbing connections and refrigerant line setups for HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems. Conduct equipment inspections during installation to verify proper operation and adherence to safety protocols. Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues using diagnostic tools; perform basic maintenance and repairs as needed. Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards while maintaining a clean work environment. Experience Proven experience in construction or service technician roles within HVAC or refrigeration fields. Familiarity with reading schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans. Hands-on experience with appliance repair, property maintenance, or field service operations. Mechanical knowledge of air conditioning systems, ammonia refrigeration units, boilers, and related equipment. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting; capable of performing equipment repair and welding tasks. Valid driver's license (including driver if applicable) with a clean driving record preferred. Prior experience working with HVAC/R systems involving plumbing, refrigeration cycles, or ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
