Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Helper and kickstart your career in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning industry! In this energetic role, you will assist skilled technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems. Duties Assist experienced HVAC technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. Support the setup and dismantling of HVAC equipment according to schematics and technical diagrams. Help with plumbing connections, refrigerant handling, and ensuring proper system operation. Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs when necessary. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and work areas efficiently. Learn to read HVAC schematics and assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues on-site. Support field service operations by transporting equipment and supplies safely using company vehicles. Requirements Basic construction or mechanical experience with a strong interest in HVAC systems. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and plumbing or refrigeration systems is a plus. Prior service technician or property maintenance experience is desirable. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and testing devices like ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge related to air conditioning units, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, and appliance repair. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving vehicles preferred. Willingness to learn about HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration), field service procedures, and safety protocols. $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
