This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and air conditioning units, ensuring optimal performance across commercial and residential properties. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining HVAC equipment with precision and professionalism. Your expertise will directly impact the comfort, safety, and energy efficiency of our clients' environments. This paid position is ideal for someone passionate about mechanical systems, eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced field service setting. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and related mechanical equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct routine inspections of property maintenance systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, leak detection, and drainage troubleshooting. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for component repairs or modifications. Diagnose mechanical failures using specialized tools; perform equipment repair or replacement as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Operate a driver vehicle safely to reach various job sites efficiently while adhering to traffic laws. Assist with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) system design improvements to optimize energy use and system longevity. Experience Proven experience as a service technician working on HVAC systems with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Construction background or experience working in property maintenance environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliance repair techniques. Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving welding or boiler maintenance is preferred. Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently. Knowledge of HVAC/R standards and safety protocols; certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling or boiler licenses are advantageous. Ability to operate diagnostic tools including ohmmeters; experience with welding or mechanical repairs enhances your candidacy.
