This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on commercial and industrial HVAC and mechanical construction projects while ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader who understands how to manage crews, coordinate with trade partners, maintain schedules, and drive high-quality project execution in a fast-paced construction environment. What You'll Do in Field Operations Lead day-to-day field operations for HVAC and mechanical construction projects

Supervise:

Foremen Field personnel Trade labor and subcontractors Ensure projects are executed according to: Plans and specifications Schedule milestones Safety standards Quality expectations Scheduling & Coordination Coordinate daily activities with: Project Managers General contractors Vendors and suppliers Trade partners including electrical contractors Assist with manpower planning and short-term scheduling efforts Identify and help resolve field conflicts and productivity challenges proactively Quality & Safety Maintain clean, organized, and safety-focused jobsites Conduct routine inspections to ensure quality workmanship and code compliance Enforce company safety standards and project-specific safety requirements Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings Project Support Assist with: Material coordination Equipment deliveries Workforce planning Productivity tracking Maintain communication with operations teams regarding field progress and project needs What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience within: HVAC construction Mechanical construction Commercial or industrial field operations Proven experience in a superintendent, lead foreman, or field leadership role Strong understanding of: HVAC systems Mechanical piping systems Construction sequencing and scheduling Ability to read and interpret: Blueprints Construction drawings Specifications Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills What Sets You Apart Experience on: Commercial projects Industrial/manufacturing projects Healthcare or institutional projects preferred Ability to build strong relationships with field teams and trade partners Strong problem-solving skills and proactive leadership approach Compensation & Growth Competitive compensation package Performance-based bonus opportunities Vehicle allowance or company vehicle based on experience and role structure Opportunity for long-term growth within field and operations leadership Work Environment Full-time, field-based role in Augusta, GA Primarily local project work with minimal regional travel Why Paulson-Cheek Mechanical Established and respected presence in the Augusta market Opportunity to work on impactful commercial and industrial projects Strong operational support and team-oriented culture Long-term career growth opportunities within a rapidly growing organization Position Profile (What Success Looks Like) Projects executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule Strong coordination with field teams, project management, and trade partners High-quality workmanship and organized jobsites Dependable field leadership that drives productivity and accountability
