Job Description

Blue Diamond Pumps , a division of Charles Austen Pumps Limited (UK), is a leading global organisation in the design, manufacture and development of condensate Orbital Membrane pumps to a diverse range of trades, including the HVAC and refrigeration markets. With a multimillion-dollar turnover and high quality, reliable and ever-expanding product range, Blue Diamond continues to lead the way in pump innovation and technology.
Position:
There now exists an opportunity for a highly motivated and confident salesperson to become the division's driving force for Regional Sales and Technical Support. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with key accounts, distributors and merchants, managing and maximising business from existing accounts, and investigating new possibilities throughout the country. The role requires you to manage your own day and book and attend your own appointments. You will be expected to ensure continual market awareness, promote products at "Vendor Days" attend exhibitions and seminars. You will also be the 'go to' technical person for any queries. There is significant opportunity to develop a long-term career within this financially secure and robust organisation. As with any sales role typical 9 to 5 hours may not apply, the extensive travel will require the candidate to often leave home early and return late on a regular basis, they can expect to spend time away from home when visiting customers & be prepared to travel nationally.
You will be directly managing:
  • Travel to train and manage our Manufactures Representatives.
  • Travel to train sales staff at each distribution outlet. Each outlet will need updated or new point of sale material left on display.
  • Ensure stock levels are maintained at all outlets.
  • Meet with head office personnel, catalogue managers & marketing managers to gain best catalogue coverage and promotional opportunities.
  • Research, contact, demonstrate and visit architects, air conditioning install companies and building specifiers to educate them about our products, aim to ensure we are included in the building tenders they specify.
  • Organize and conduct vendor days at distribution outlets, the branch will invite customers to the outlet for you to exhibit the products at.
  • Assist with trade shows.
  • Report on all visits and follow up sales calls with the required information.
Person:
The role would suit an ambitious, highly motivated and confident individual looking to forge a career with a market-leading global organisation. You must have a proven track record in sales/account management together with a customer focused attitude and affable personality is essential, along with a willingness to travel. You will be reporting to the National Sales Manager, providing regular intelligence reports, so excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. You should be able to demonstrate longevity with past employers and have drive and enthusiasm to succeed. Knowledge of the HVAC industry would be a distinct advantage, technical experience in HVAC is also of great benefit.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
