Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking a HVAC Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Columbus, Georgia . Overview The main function of this role is to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility systems across multiple commercial properties within a designated radius. The technician should have strong hands-on skills, excellent communication, and the ability to service various customer sites efficiently. The position requires a balance of technical expertise and customer service to ensure facility systems operate optimally. Responsibilities Perform maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and facility systems to ensure they meet quality standards. Travel between multiple facilities within the service radius, ensuring proper functioning of systems at each site. Manage facility services, preventive maintenance, inventory control, and coordinate with outside contractors as needed. Monitor and record equipment readings, make necessary adjustments for optimal performance, and ensure safety and compliance standards are maintained. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols for hazardous materials and safety hazards. Perform periodic checks of tools and inventory, and oversee the quality and cost of external maintenance work. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5-7 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems
HVAC EPA
Universal certification Ability to analyze and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems EPA 608 Type II Certification required Working knowledge of Word and Excel Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications EPA 608 Universal Certification Two years of trades schooling in electrical systems, refrigeration, or HVAC The shift for this position is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with some overtime and on-call responsibilities.
