Job Description

An HVAC installer sets ukp, connects, and test heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and light commercial. Assemble ductwork, wire electrical components, and calibrate units so the function safely, efficiently, and according to exact manufacturer's specs.
Core Responsibilities Equipment Setup:
Assemeble and install HVAC equipment such as furnaces, air hadnlers, heat pumps and ductless systems.
Ductwork and Ventilation:
Design, fabricate, or install sheet metal and flexible duct systems to ensure proper airflow.
Electrical and Refrigeration:
Run both line and low-voltage wiring, and install or braze copper refrigerant lines.
System Testing:
Perform system start-ups, check refrigerant levels, and calibrate thermostats to guarantee peak performance.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to EPA regulations regarding refrigerant handling and follow all job site safety protocols. Key Requirements and Qualifications Experience 1-3+ years of proven experience in HVAC installation, servicing, or related trades.
Certifications:
EPA Section 608 Certification is typically required for handling refrigerants.
Physical Stamina:
Must be able to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces), and endure various weather conditions.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of refrigerant cycles, and the ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics. Typical Work Environment Installers spend their days traveling between job sites and working on location in homes, construction sites, or commercial rooftops. The job requires working with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments.
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
