Hvac Service Technician

Commercial / Industrial HVAC Technician $35 - $50 an hour Full-Time | Davenport, IA | Monday-Friday (with potential overtime) We are seeking an experienced Commercial / Industrial HVAC Technician to join a growing service team in the Davenport area. This role is ideal for a skilled technician who is confident working independently in commercial and industrial environments, values quality workmanship, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. Job Description Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC systems Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC and refrigeration equipment Perform scheduled preventive maintenance , system inspections, and performance testing Service and maintain equipment including RTUs, VRF/VAV systems, chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, burners, and refrigeration systems Conduct warranty work, system adjustments, and corrective repairs as needed Identify system inefficiencies and recommend repairs or improvements Maintain accurate and detailed service documentation and records Interact professionally with customers, explaining system issues, repairs, and recommendations Follow all safety protocols and company procedures while working in active commercial and industrial environments Required Skills & Experience Strong background in commercial and/or industrial HVAC service and installation Advanced troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems Experience performing inspections, testing, maintenance, and warranty work Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and OEM documentation Comfortable working independently and managing service calls efficiently Additional Qualifications 2+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC experience EPA Universal Certification (required) Proficient in troubleshooting complex commercial HVAC systems Experience with OEM equipment and controls preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of construction and industrial environments Excellent communication and customer service skills Top Skills HVAC (Commercial & Industrial) Troubleshooting & Repair Preventive Maintenance Installation & Mechanical Systems Refrigeration Systems Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
