HVAC Install Manager

Monaghan Mechanical is a local family owned and operated company who has been serving the area for over 20 years. We are looking for an experienced HVAC Install Manager to lead and support our installation department while helping maintain efficient, high-quality project execution from start to finish. Position Summary The HVAC Install Manager will oversee daily installation operations, coordinate with field crews and contractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This role requires someone who can work alongside the installation team when needed while also staying ahead of upcoming projects through planning, site evaluations, and system design coordination. Key Responsibilities Manage and support HVAC installation crew on residential and/or light commercial projects Stay ahead of installation schedules by planning upcoming jobs, materials, and manpower needs Visit job sites to evaluate projects, meet with homeowners, builders, and contractors, and identify installation requirements Review plans and assist with HVAC system design and ductwork layout Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and load calculations Maintain a basic understanding and ability to read HVAC load calculations Coordinate with office staff, sales team, and field personnel/contractors to ensure smooth project execution Ensure installations meet company quality standards, local codes, and safety requirements Troubleshoot installation challenges and provide solutions in the field Train, mentor, and develop installation technicians Monitor job progress, labor efficiency, and material usage Qualifications HVAC installation experience required Previous leadership or management experience preferred Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and duct design/layout Ability to read and interpret load calculations and construction plans Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Proficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license with clean driving record Preferred Skills Experience with new construction and retrofit installations Knowledge of local HVAC codes and permitting requirements Familiarity with HVAC design and job management Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive team culture Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Company vehicle Paid time off and holidays Health benefits No weekends or on call
