Work Hours :
7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Mikes Mechanical is looking for a HVAC Service Tech! The HVAC Service Tech will provide routine maintenance and service to residential customers as well as trouble shoot issues and provide solutions. Essential Job Functions Runs diagnostics, completes repairs, and runs routine maintenance on residential gas furnaces, electric furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning units, ductless mini-splits, duct work, etc. Educate customers by offering proactive repairs, system upgrades, and maintenance agreements. Use an iPad to create customer invoices and communicate with the office. Travel to job sites within the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer. Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in your company vehicle. Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary. Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain and replacement parts, calibrate system to manufactures recommendations. Other duties as assigned. Work Hours This is a non-exempt position. Competencies Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time. Must have excellent organizational skills. Must have good oral and written communications skills. Observe all company procedures and safety rules. Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the workday. Education and Experience Previous HVAC residential service technician experience or enrolled in appropriate schooling (determined by management). Must be able to pass a background and drug screening. Work Environment Frequently works in outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics. Physical Demands Moderate to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time. Supervisory Responsibility None. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor. Travel Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history. Regular travel should be expected between Mike's Mechanical Services and job sites. Travel to be expected primarily during normal business hours and during on-call shifts.
