Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to spearhead installation projects and ensure top-tier service delivery. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, oversee complex HVAC system installations, and uphold the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise will drive successful project completion while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schematics, design specifications, and safety protocols. Supervise and mentor a team of service technicians, providing guidance on installation techniques, troubleshooting, and best practices. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, HVAC design plans, and mechanical blueprints to execute precise installations. Perform comprehensive equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and appliances. Conduct field service activities such as system diagnostics using tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with plumbing professionals on integrated systems involving refrigerant lines or water supply components. Ensure all work complies with local codes, industry standards, and environmental regulations related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration). Maintain detailed documentation of installation processes, service reports, schematics updates, and safety inspections. Drive company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to various job sites. Support property maintenance efforts by performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to maximize lifespan and efficiency. Experience Proven experience in construction or HVAC installation roles with demonstrated leadership capabilities as a lead technician or supervisor. Extensive service technician experience with familiarity in appliance repair, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles along with the ability to read schematics accurately. Hands-on experience with field service operations involving equipment repair, welding techniques, plumbing integration, and maintenance procedures. Mechanical knowledge encompassing HVAC/R systems combined with practical skills in troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters. Background in property maintenance or facility management is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating driver vehicles preferred.
