Chicago, IL Job Details Full-time 5 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Computer operation Outdoor work ERP systems English CMMS Climbing Welding Productivity software Full Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities Maintains the following equipment Ammonia refrigeration system includes building heating and air conditioning equipment, boiler systems, hot water generator, compressed air systems, building sprinkler systems, and any other supporting equipment as directed by management. Perform PMs and repairs on compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, vessels, valves, and other machinery included in the ammonia refrigeration equipment. Work directly with all refrigeration contractors, electricians, and pipefitters when they are working on the ammonia refrigeration system to ensure that they are following all of the company safety policies, and meeting work standards. Perform duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering. Ensures continuous operation of all the facility utility systems and peripheral equipment to support the requirements of the production schedule and facility conditions. This requires proper coordination of all operations and maintenance utilities equipment. Coordinates both internal and external resources for maintenance of the facility. Assists in the recordkeeping and training requirements for all components of the Process Safety Management/Risk (PSM/RMP management plans to achieve compliance with state and federal guidelines. Provides technical analysis and services to provide real-time data on the status of refrigeration and operational equipment. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment to maintain in good working condition. Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing. Utilizes drawings, technical records, and vendor diagrams to complete Preventative Maintenance documents (PM?s) related to machine overhauls and repairs. Handles maintenance emergencies as required. Completes duties in accordance with quality assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety and other company programs and procedures, and in accordance with government codes and regulations. Maintains clean, organized, and safe work area, including wiping and washing equipment and tools; sweeping and mopping floors; trash removal. Other duties as defined. Qualifications & Requirements Must have own toolbox & tools. (toolbox will be kept in maintenance shop) 2+ year hands on experience are a plus. Trade school with HVAC-R Diploma - Minimum Requirement RETA Certification - Preferred Requirement Ammonia operator 1 ? Minimum Requirement Ammonia operator 2 ? Preferred Requirement Experience in repairing refrigeration systems, Pipefitting & Welding, System analysis, Proficient in reading diagrams. Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company?s

Software. Must be able to read, write and speak English, Spanish speaking is a plus Job Type Full time 1st shift, 5am-2:30pm (Monday-Saturday) 8?12-hour shift, as needed. On call for emergencies. Ability to read diagrams, PLC, mechanical inspection & 3 phase electrical is a plus. ? Indoor & outdoor work, Walking, climbing, lifting for a minimum of 8 hours per day. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ? Strong knowledge of facility equipment with the ability to troubleshoot & make the necessary repairs. ? Knowledge of electrical, pneumatics, plumbing, refrigeration & welding is preferred. ? Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems ? Able to perform all required preventative, productive, predictive, and scheduled maintenance procedures ? Able to demonstrate initiative and follow through on day-to-day responsibilities ? Must be able to read, write and speak English, Spanish speaking is a plus
