We are seeking an experienced part-time HVAC & Plumbing Technician to assist with heating, cooling, and plumbing service calls, repairs, maintenance, and installations. This is not an entry-level or apprentice position. The ideal candidate has prior hands-on HVAC and/or plumbing experience, can troubleshoot common issues, communicate professionally with customers, and work with limited supervision. This position is part-time, approximately 3 days per week, with an estimated 18-24 hours per week. Schedule may vary based on service calls and project needs. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Assist with installation and repair of furnaces, air conditioning units, boilers, water heaters, thermostats, and related equipment. Perform basic plumbing repairs, including pipework, fittings, fixtures, drains, leaks, and water lines. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to HVAC and plumbing systems. Use hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and properly. Travel to customer service calls and job sites as assigned. Communicate professionally with customers regarding service issues, repairs, and recommended next steps. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete work orders, service notes, and basic job documentation as needed. Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes. Requirements Prior hands-on HVAC and/or plumbing experience required. Must be able to work independently or with limited supervision. Must have a valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation to travel to service calls and job sites. Must be reliable, punctual, professional, and customer-service oriented. Experience with residential or light commercial service calls preferred. Ability to diagnose and repair common heating, cooling, and plumbing issues. Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred. EPA certification preferred or required if handling refrigerant. Must be able to lift equipment/materials and perform physical work as needed. Must have basic tools or be familiar with standard HVAC/plumbing tools. Schedule Part-time position, approximately 3 days per week. Estimated 18-24 hours weekly. Full-day availability is helpful but not required. Pay Starting at $30.00 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience, skill level, reliability, and ability to work independently. Fuel reimbursement or fuel assistance will be provided for approved travel to service calls and job sites.
