Job Description

Position Summary:
Unilux has designed and manufactured HVAC solutions for high-rise residential properties for over 50 years. Our products are installed in over a million condominiums, apartments, hotels, and seniors homes across North America. Unilux Suite Solutions is our Chicago based entity focused on replacing the aged fan coil equipment in the thousands of residential buildings over 20 years old across the entire US market. We are unique in that we design, build, and install ourselves. We are looking for a full-time Operations Manager to own the day-to-day operations of Suite Solutions. This position reports to the North American Senior Vice President.
Hours and location:
Monday to Friday, based in Chicago. There may be some minor travel around the US and Canada for tradeshows, customer meetings, and to oversee installations.
Compensation :
$110,000 to 125,000 compensation plus car allowance, and bonus Three weeks annual paid vacation Comprehensive healthcare benefits package including medical and dental Responsibilities include: Execute the business plan in collaboration with senior management and according to budget Manage the installation and administration teams to perform a pre-installation inspection, schedule the installation, manage the installation, collect payment, and overall deliver exceptional customer satisfaction Manage inventory, purchasing, and receiving at Chicago warehouse Leverage marketing material to educate the customer Build relationships with stakeholders - property managers, channel partners, and boards of directors Assist with recruiting and training of qualified HVAC technicians Attend trade shows and industry events on occasion Assist with other projects as required
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in management or engineering 5+ years in HVAC 5+ years in management Proven ability of the following skills: reliability, relationship building, business acumen, organization, and time management Excellent oral and written communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point) Worked in the condominium industry is an asset This role will have a 90-day probationary period. Once complete, you will be eligible for health benefits.
