Job Description

Job Title:
HVAC Clean & Check Technician Reports to:
HVAC Manager Work Hours:
Monday thru Friday with rotating weekends
Pay Scale:
Starting at $20.00/hr, plus incentive opportunities
Position Summary:
This position consists of performing annual maintenance on residential heating and cooling units, recommending necessary preventative repairs to the customer, and performing duct cleaning and sealing to improve a customer's overall indoor air quality and comfort.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on residential heating and cooling equipment Analyzing heating and cooling equipment for safety and efficiency, followed by preventative solutions to heating/cooling units, as well as indoor and outdoor air quality issue solutions for indoor air quality issues Perform skilled duct cleaning and sealing techniques Perform water heater flushes Perform annual maintenance on whole-house automatic generators Communicate with customers regarding options and costs, obtaining approval for repairs Document completed services, explaining guarantees/warranties, collecting payment, and delivering payment to the office Promote service agreements Maintain neat and organized work area in customer's home/place of business Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Completion of HVAC/R Program at a recognized institution (College, Trade School, etc.) Universal EPA Certification NATE Certification a plus Work with industry-related tools, materials and supplies including ductwork Detail-oriented and initiative-driven when performing assigned tasks, in order to maximize results Strong listening and communication skills required to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers in a professional manner Valid Driver's License and clean driving record Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends Willingness to learn, attend classes for professional advancement Ability to regularly move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
