Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. This position is open to both entry-level (associate) and experienced technicians , with responsibilities and expectations aligned to experience level. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation support on commercial HVAC systems across multiple sites. Ideal candidates are motivated, safety-focused, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance and service on commercial HVAC equipment Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair systems including: RTUs (Rooftop Units) AHUs (Air Handling Units) Split systems Exhaust fans and ventilation systems Diagnose basic to advanced electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues (depending on experience) Replace components such as filters, belts, motors, compressors, sensors, and contactors Assist with or independently perform system diagnostics and repairs Read gauges, meters, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and recommendations Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and customers Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
1+ years of HVAC experience (commercial preferred) Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and components Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background check and drug screening
For Experienced-Level Candidates:
3+ years of commercial HVAC experience Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision EPA Certification (Universal preferred) Preferred Qualification Experience with commercial systems (RTUs, VAVs, boilers, chillers) Familiarity with: Building Automation Systems (BAS) / Controls Low-voltage controls and wiring HVAC trade school certification or technical training Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, and in confined spaces Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Tools and ongoing training provided Consistent schedule at a dedicated site
