We care about doing the job right, the first time, and ensuring our customers have a great experience. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. You'll run residential and light commercial service calls across the Naperville area, work directly with customers, and be supported by an office team that handles scheduling and dispatch so you can stay focused on the work. Our service area is concentrated within the immediate Naperville area, which means more time on the job and less time in the truck — our dispatchers work to keep calls geographically tight, so you're not burning time on the road. This is a year-round, full-time position. Core Responsibilities Service & Diagnostics Diagnose and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, roof-top units, and ductless mini-splits Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tune-ups for residential and commercial equipment Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant system issues Identify and communicate repair options and equipment recommendations to customers Customer Communication Represent Dutchman professionally in customer homes and businesses Explain diagnoses and service options in clear, non-technical terms Set realistic expectations around timelines, repairs, and next steps Provide a positive customer experience that reflects our company values Documentation & Parts Complete accurate service documentation in company systems after each call Communicate parts needs to the office team in a timely manner Manage inventory on your assigned vehicle and keep it properly stocked Submit purchase documentation and receipts Qualifications Experience 5+ years of HVAC service experience Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and repair a range of HVAC equipment (both residential and commercial) Experience with service-based field work and direct customer interaction Certifications & Licensing EPA certification required Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record Skills Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across HVAC systems Ability to manage a service schedule independently Professional communication with customers and office staff Attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to work in varied environments including attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors Comfortable working in both heating and cooling seasons Technical Requirements Proficiency with mobile devices and service software for documentation Ability to learn and use company dispatch and field service tools Education & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Ability to pass background check and drug screening Work Details Full-time, field-based position Monday-Friday 8-5 schedule On-call schedule (technicians participate in a rotating on-call schedule with approximately one week per month of on-call; the full schedule is published annually so you can plan accordingly) Compensation & Benefits $35-45/hour based on experience, with performance and sales incentives Weekly pay Health insurance (50% employer contribution, employee coverage; dependents may be added at employee cost) Dental insurance (employer paid, employee coverage; dependents may be added at employee cost) Simple IRA retirement plan with company match Paid time off Paid holidays Company-supplied take-home vehicle with gas card Top performers have earned $100,000+
