Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to spearhead our installation projects and ensure top-tier service delivery. In this vital role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, oversee complex HVAC system installations, and ensure all work meets safety standards and client specifications. Your expertise will drive the successful completion of projects, from initial schematics review to final commissioning, ensuring optimal indoor climate solutions for our clients. Duties Lead and coordinate HVAC installation projects, ensuring timely and efficient completion while maintaining high quality standards. Interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and blueprints to guide installation processes accurately. Supervise and mentor field technicians, providing technical guidance on system setup, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. Oversee the installation of air conditioning units, refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and ventilation equipment. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, building codes, and environmental regulations during all phases of installation. Conduct site inspections to verify proper system operation, perform maintenance checks, and troubleshoot issues using tools such as ohmmeters. Collaborate with project managers, property maintenance teams, and clients to coordinate schedules and address project-specific requirements. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and service reports. Support service technician activities by assisting with complex repairs involving plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair when necessary. Requirements Proven experience in construction-related HVAC installation projects with a focus on mechanical systems. Strong background in service technician roles involving HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, boiler operation, or appliance repair. Extensive knowledge of schematics interpretation and HVAC design principles. Hands-on experience with plumbing systems, welding techniques, and equipment repair including boilers and ammonia refrigeration units. Mechanical aptitude complemented by field service expertise across property maintenance environments. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving vehicles preferred. Familiarity with safety standards related to HVAC/R systems and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
