This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical expertise, troubleshoot complex HVAC systems, and ensure optimal indoor comfort for clients. As a vital part of our service team, you'll deliver proactive maintenance and swift repairs that keep buildings running smoothly and efficiently. Your technical skills will help us uphold the highest standards in property maintenance, ensuring safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems using schematics and technical manuals. Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize lifespan and efficiency. Install new HVAC systems following design specifications and schematics, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Conduct plumbing and appliance repairs related to HVAC operations, including refrigerant handling and ammonia refrigeration systems. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform mechanical repairs. Read and interpret HVAC design plans, schematics, and technical documents to guide installation or repair projects. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all work performed, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems. Strong knowledge of construction principles related to building systems installation and maintenance. Familiarity with schematics, electrical wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans. Experience with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge combined with field service experience in property maintenance environments. Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or equipment repair tasks confidently. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between sites. Certifications in HVAC/R technology or relevant trade licenses are advantageous; ongoing training encouraged to stay current with industry standards.
