A minimum of 10 years experience is required. In this pivotal role, you will lead the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential settings. Your expertise will ensure our customers enjoy optimal comfort and energy efficiency. As a leader on the field, you will mentor junior technicians, coordinate service schedules, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Duties Lead and oversee residential HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance projects with precision and efficiency. Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate system setup and repairs. Diagnose complex mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment; perform equipment repair or replacement as needed. Conduct plumbing, refrigeration, and ammonia refrigeration work when required, ensuring all systems operate safely and effectively. Supervise field service activities, ensuring all work meets safety protocols, building codes, and company standards. Mentor and train junior technicians on HVAC/R systems, mechanical knowledge, appliance repair, welding, boiler operation, property maintenance, and other technical skills. Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on job progress, safety inspections, and customer interactions promptly. Skills Extensive experience in construction-related HVAC projects with a strong understanding of residential systems. Ductwork and sheet metal skills are a must. Proven service technician experience with a focus on HVAC/R systems; capable of handling complex repairs independently. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings; familiarity with HVAC design principles. Mechanical knowledge spanning air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing components, and appliance repair. Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experienced in equipment repair including welding and mechanical adjustments. Strong field service background with the ability to troubleshoot efficiently under pressure while maintaining safety standards. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation to job sites. Knowledge of property maintenance practices; ability to perform welding or boiler repairs as needed. Ability to interpret schematics accurately; experience working with HVAC/R systems involving refrigerants like ammonia is a plus.
