Responsibilities Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and maintenance. Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment, plumbing systems, and appliances to ensure optimal operation. Conduct field service visits to diagnose issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; repair or replace faulty parts as needed. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and general building comfort. Operate a driver vehicle safely for transporting equipment or materials to job sites. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems and complex HVAC/R setups involving refrigeration or propane systems. Experience Proven construction experience with a focus on HVAC installation or service work. Service technician experience in HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, or appliance repair is highly desirable. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design principles. Mechanical knowledge of heating systems, air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment. Hands-on experience with field service operations including troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Skills in welding, equipment repair, and property maintenance are advantageous.
