Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and system reliability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and troubleshoot complex HVAC systems. Need experience with VAV boxes, KMC controls, and Johnson DDC controls. Deliver exceptional service to clients. Whether working on new installations or servicing existing equipment, your skills will directly impact comfort and safety in commercial and residential environments. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine inspections of HVAC/R equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and optimal operation. Conduct plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting, leak detection, and drainage troubleshooting. Use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to identify electrical faults within HVAC controls and components. Repair or replace mechanical parts including motors, fans, compressors, valves, and weld components as needed. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs for accountability and future reference. Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems to ensure continuous operation across multiple sites. Operate company vehicles responsibly while adhering to all safety protocols during field service calls. Support refrigeration systems using refrigeration techniques where applicable; handle refrigerants safely following industry standards. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or property maintenance settings. Proven service technician experience with HVAC/R systems, VAV boxes, KMC controls, Johnson controls and DDC controls; familiarity with appliance repair is a plus. Ability to read schematics and interpret HVAC design plans accurately for installation or troubleshooting purposes. Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications including pipe fitting and drainage solutions. Experience working with refrigeration systems and understanding of HVAC design principles. Skilled in electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters; capable of troubleshooting electrical controls within HVAC units. Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler maintenance, and general mechanic work. Valid driver's license suitable for operating company vehicles safely in field service environments. Familiarity with field service operations including customer interaction and on-site problem resolution.
