Job Description

Senior HVAC Service Technician / InstallerPosition Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior HVAC Service Technician / Installer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who excels in residential and commercial service and installation, customer relationships, troubleshooting, system design, sales, and leadership. The Senior Technician serves as a trusted advisor to customers and a technical leader for complex installations, service calls, and replacement projects. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, installing, and estimating HVAC systems across residential and light commercial applications, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, rooftop units (RTUs), ductless mini-splits, and VRF systems. ResponsibilitiesService & Diagnostics Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems. Perform maintenance and service calls while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Identify system deficiencies and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions. Complete accurate service documentation and job notes. Customer Service & Sales Build strong relationships with customers through professionalism and technical expertise. Educate customers on repair options, equipment upgrades, maintenance plans, and replacement opportunities. Generate replacement leads and close equipment sales when appropriate. Provide exceptional customer experiences that result in repeat business and referrals. Installation & Project Leadership Work independently or with helpers as the lead technician on site. Oversee quality control, jobsite safety, and workmanship. Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and local code requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite. Estimating & System Design Perform site evaluations and equipment sizing. Prepare estimates for equipment replacements, upgrades, and specialty projects. Assist in designing HVAC solutions that meet customer needs and project requirements.
Technical Expertise Service and install:
Furnaces Air Conditioners Heat Pumps Boilers (preferred but not required) Rooftop Units (RTUs) Ductless Mini-Split Systems Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems Stay current with industry trends, technology, and best practices. Provide technical support to field personnel. Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Qualifications 10+ years of HVAC service and installation experience. Strong residential service background required. Commercial HVAC experience required. Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Experience preparing estimates and selling replacement systems. Knowledge of boilers, RTUs, mini-splits, and VRF systems. EPA Certification required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Preferred Skills NATE Certification. Advanced controls and system diagnostics experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Pay:
$60,300.00 - $81,120.00 per year
