Cantigny is host to numerous special events, concerts, weddings, garden tours, museum tours, lectures, horticulture workshops, fitness classes, and more throughout the year. Position Summary The HVACR Technician will be responsible for evaluating, monitoring, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing all commercial and residential heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment across 32 buildings at Cantigny. This role includes maintaining ducting systems and related ancillary equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. The HVACR Technician will also monitor and adjust both centralized commercial and independent control systems to support proper building comfort and conditioning across the campus. Essential Functions Troubleshoot and repair all HVACR equipment, including but not limited to, pumps, motors, piping, fans, safety controls, operating controls, compressors, refrigerant lines, metering devices, burners, electrical components, valves, refrigeration and commercial food service, equipment that are not performing as designed. Complete generated scheduled work orders and corrective work orders on HVACR equipment. Conduct routine daily inspections of operating HVACR equipment to ensure correct operation. Make adjustments and repairs as required Monitor and adjust commercial centralized and independent control systems for all building comfort conditioning equipment to ensure systems are reaching proper settings Communicate with building operators issues affecting equipment that need repair or are in process of being repaired. Perform cross functional maintenance including electrical and plumbing repairs as needed Assist weekend Maintenance staff with general maintenance as needed. Complete all documentation for work completed. Provides for personal safety in the workplace by attending and completing all required safety training including Lock Out Tagout Certification, Confined Space Certification, Aerial Lift Certification, Fall Protection Certification, OSHA 10-hour Certification. Knowing and following existing safety rules including the applicable use of personal protective equipment, the proper operation of tools and machinery and proper handling of hazardous materials and reporting any unsafe conditions to respective supervisor. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Full-Time position,Wednesday-Sunday,7-3:30. Work is completed at building sites, interior and exterior, in boiler, mechanical, and other equipment locations.
