JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for ensuring that the facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition. Assembles repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures. Basic custodial services. Routine exterior painting of buildings and interior painting of public and common areas. General building repairs. Maintenance of building life-safety, and systems such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and lighting
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- A working knowledge of requirements for the maintenance of all utilities including well systems, septic systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical service and hardware, backup generators and fuel supplies.
- Coordinating preventative facilities maintenance appointments for the maintenance work that cannot be done in house.
- Periodic water temperature checks and recordings.
- Periodic sprinkler system pressure/water level recordings.
- Assist in general facility maintenance and repairs, set up / movement of items, carpentry, plumbing, painting all performed whenever necessary.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner to NTN Driveshaft standards.
- Schedule work effectively, limiting disturbance to programming and staff.
- Maintaining professional working relationships with contractors.
- The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES
- Must have a HVAC Technician certification and EPA Universal certification.
- Must have strong computer skills (including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- High School Diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Stamina and endurance: Ability to stand, walk, bend and twist to perform tasks for extended periods.
Strength:
Capable of lifting and moving equipment or materials (often 50 lbs or more).
- Manual dexterity: Skilled in handling tools, valves, and small components.
- Balance and coordination: Navigating wet, uneven, or confined spaces safely.
- Visual acuity: Reading gauges, meters, and identifying leaks or issues.
- Tolerance to environmental conditions: Working in noisy, odorous, or outdoor settings.
