Commercial Facilities Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair for various types of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing systems. The role involves ensuring the optimal functioning of mechanical components and systems, contributing to the efficiency and safety of our facilities. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance and repair on HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and plumbing systems. Maintain and repair air lines, exhaust fans, compressors, water pumps, security doors, water softeners, pressure vessels, hydraulic systems, and emergency generators. Service chillers, air dryers, heat pumps, ice machines, cooling towers, boilers and controls, air handling equipment, VAV controls and boxes, walk-in coolers and freezers, air conditioning split systems, high volume air handling systems, pneumatic and electronic controls, pneumatic actuators, valves, and dampers. Operate and maintain the Liebert chilled water air handling system, vacuum pumps, steam condensate systems. Perform snow removal tasks as required. Ensure the cleanliness of the working area after completing assigned duties. Essential Skills Facilities maintenance Electrical and plumbing skills HVAC systems knowledge and repair experience Mechanical troubleshooting EPA Certification High School Diploma Valid driver's license Ability to work a flexible schedule and in various weather conditions Experience with pneumatic and electronic controls Ability to work safely from ladders, lifts, and platforms Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in an indoor building setting with exposure to outdoor environments. You will work both independently and as part of a team, requiring daily verbal and face-to-face interactions with others. The position involves the use and knowledge of maintenance tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cumberland, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $38.00/hr.
