Duties Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems across various properties. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems such as pumps, fans, ductwork, and ammonia refrigeration units to ensure peak performance. Conduct field service operations involving appliance repair, plumbing repairs, welding tasks, and equipment calibration using tools like ohmmeters. Assist with HVAC design modifications or upgrades to improve system efficiency and comply with safety standards. Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs for accountability and future reference. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), property maintenance codes, and environmental standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems with a solid understanding of mechanical principles. Strong construction background with knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology including ammonia refrigeration. Hands-on experience with equipment repair involving boilers, air conditioning units, appliances, welding techniques, and property maintenance tasks. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately; familiarity with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is essential. Mechanical knowledge complemented by mechanic experience in field service environments; familiarity with HVAC/R certifications preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers or similar vehicles is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings.
