Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in construction, service technician roles, and equipment repair. This position requires the ability to interpret schematics, perform HVAC design tasks, and work effectively in both residential and commercial settings. A valid driver's license is essential for travel between job sites. The HVAC Installer will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' comfort and safety through expert installation and maintenance of HVAC systems. Responsibilities Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and related mechanical components Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate installation Perform maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC systems, including appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as refrigerant lines and condensate drainage Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for system testing and troubleshooting electrical components Weld or perform other mechanical repairs as needed to ensure system integrity Work with property maintenance teams to coordinate system upgrades or replacements Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and manufacturer specifications Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and parts used during installations or repairs Experience 3 years experience as an HVAC installer with a solid understanding of HVAC/R systems Construction background or property maintenance experience preferred Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus Mechanical knowledge of appliances, boilers, and general equipment repair is highly desirable Experience working with schematics, HVAC design plans, and electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters Field service experience in residential or commercial environments preferred Welding skills or boiler maintenance experience are advantageous Knowledge of plumbing related to HVAC systems is beneficial Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required for travel between sites This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute their expertise in a dynamic environment focused on quality installation and maintenance of essential climate control systems.
