Residential Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician

Job Summary Felger Hart Residential Services is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Technician with plumbing experience to join our team. This is a customer-facing service role for a motivated, dependable technician who can diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems while also handling select plumbing-related service work. The ideal candidate has strong HVAC knowledge, solid troubleshooting skills, and the professionalism to communicate clearly with homeowners. Experience with plumbing systems is highly valued, and generator service experience or small engine repair experience is a major plus . This position includes preventative maintenance, service calls, repairs, customer education, and identifying opportunities to improve comfort, efficiency, and system performance in customers' homes. Responsibilities Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain residential HVAC equipment Perform preventative maintenance inspections and system tune-ups Service equipment such as: Gas furnaces Split-system air conditioners Heat pumps Mini-splits Boilers and combi boilers Unit heaters Electric heaters Geothermal units Packaged HVAC units Water heaters Complete plumbing-related service and repair work as needed, including fixtures and equipment such as: Water heaters and tankless water heaters Sump pumps and sewage ejectors Water softeners and filtration systems Well tanks and well pumps Toilets, faucets, and shower fixtures Drain systems and drain cleaning equipment Clean and wipe down equipment after service Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners Recommend repairs, upgrades, and improvements that enhance comfort, efficiency, air quality, or water quality Present and sell maintenance memberships when appropriate Use ServiceTitan software to build estimates, sell repairs, document work performed, and collect payment Maintain accurate service reports and time records Arrive on time to appointments and communicate effectively with supervisors Participate in an on-call rotation for nights and evenings Help mentor and train apprentices as needed Qualifications Experience servicing and repairing residential HVAC systems Working knowledge of residential plumbing systems and fixtures Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic ability Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Professional appearance and clean work habits Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work efficiently Positive attitude and willingness to learn Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred Preferred Qualifications Experience in both HVAC and plumbing Experience with generator maintenance, generator service, or generator troubleshooting Background in small engine repair Experience with ServiceTitan Ability to identify and recommend indoor air quality, water quality, and system upgrade solutions What We're Looking For We want someone who is: Dependable and punctual Comfortable working directly with homeowners Confident in diagnosing problems and explaining solutions Motivated to grow their skill set Ready to represent Felger Hart Residential Services with professionalism and integrity Why Join Felger Hart Residential Services Steady, full-time work Opportunity to work across HVAC, plumbing, and potentially generator service Supportive team environment Opportunity to mentor apprentices and grow within the company A company that values professionalism, quality workmanship, and customer experience Apply Today If you're an HVAC technician with plumbing experience and want to join a team that takes pride in doing the job right, we'd like to hear from you.
