$31.00/Hour (Contract-to-Hire Opportunity) Help Train the Next Generation of HVAC Technicians We are seeking an experienced HVAC Instructor to join a growing skilled trades education program in Indianapolis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HVAC professional who enjoys mentoring others and wants to help prepare students for successful careers in the field. Whether you have previous teaching experience or are looking to transition from the field into education, we encourage qualified HVAC professionals to apply. Position Summary The HVAC Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom and hands-on laboratory instruction to students enrolled in the HVAC program. Instructors provide training in industry best practices, safety standards, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair techniques while preparing students for entry-level employment opportunities. This position offers a consistent evening schedule, making it ideal for professionals seeking supplemental income or a transition into education. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom and hands-on HVAC instruction Teach HVAC fundamentals, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety procedures Prepare students for EPA certification requirements and industry expectations Monitor student attendance, participation, and academic progress Maintain classroom and laboratory organization, safety, and equipment Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback Submit attendance and grading documentation in a timely manner Assist with curriculum enhancement and program development Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and school events as needed Serve as a positive mentor and role model for students entering the HVAC industry QualificationsRequired EPA Certification Minimum of 3 years of recent HVAC field experience Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively teach and mentor adult learners Preferred Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience Experience working with trade school or vocational education programs Additional HVAC industry certifications Compensation & Schedule $31.00/hour Part-time evening schedule Monday-Thursday 5:30 PM - 10:30 PM 24 hours per week Contract-to-hire opportunity Internal Compensation Structure (Upon Hire)
Teaching Hours:
$32.00/hour
Administrative Hours:
