Job Description

Job Title:
HVAC Technician Job Description The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment, systems, and machinery across all college facilities. This role also involves handling all HVAC -related Help Desk tickets and work requests. If you prefer HVAC Install work, also looking for Commercial HVAC Installation Techs paying in the $30s/hr Responsibilities + Install and maintain HVAC systems at all locations, including heating, cooling, exhaust, wall-mounted units, RTUs, plant systems, and overhead units. + Install HVAC ductwork and conserve, install, and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants. + Maintain an inventory of spare parts and review existing systems for proper operations, making necessary repairs. + Be on call 24/7 for emergencies. + Diagnose and repair minor electrical and plumbing problems. + Prepare surfaces for painting and perform general maintenance. + Conduct remodel work and handle PMs of all HVAC -related equipment. + Assist in the development and tracking of departmental budget spending and authorization. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Strong organizational skills, effective communication, time management, and critical thinking. + Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment in large facilities. + Thorough knowledge of HVAC equipment and controls. + Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine/preventive maintenance on HVAC systems. + Knowledge of reading blueprints and using CAD -related software. + Experience in diagnosing and repairing minor electrical and plumbing issues related to HVAC . + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. + EPA certified within six months of hire date. + Six or more months of experience reading and interpreting blueprints. + At least three years of HVAC experience. + Trade school certification in HVAC or related area. + Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. +

Associate or higher degree in a related field. +
