Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) & Refrigeration Technician and become a vital part of delivering top-tier climate control solutions for commercial properties. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex HVAC systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality and energy efficiency. Your mechanical expertise and field service experience will drive success in maintaining high standards of property comfort and safety. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems to prevent downtime and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform electrical testing and repairs as needed. Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and ammonia refrigeration system servicing. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Collaborate with property managers and clients to ensure HVAC systems meet safety standards and operational requirements. Experience Proven experience as a service technician in commercial HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems. Hands-on experience with schematics reading, HVAC design principles, appliance repair, welding, boiler maintenance, and property maintenance tasks. Knowledge of refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, equipment repair, and general maintenance practices. Field service experience working directly on HVAC units in commercial settings; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred. Additional skills such as welding certification or mechanic experience will be considered advantageous for this role. $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
